bar rascal

Bar Rascal* is the largest natural wine bar in Poland and one of the biggest venues of its kind in the world.
It features over 500 wines from leading European artisanal, low-intervention winemakers. The impressive wine selection is accompanied by a signature menu that changes with the seasons. All of this is set within a unique three-level venue hidden within the National Ballet School building, just steps away from the National Opera House – complete with a vibrant summer garden filled with greenery.

It is a beloved Warsaw’s meeting place and local institution bringing together gastronomy, art, culture, and design in a relaxed atmosphere with friendly, knowledgeable service. During the day, it operates as a specialty coffee shop serving breakfast and lunch plates. In the evening, it turns into a vibrant wine bar where natural wine and seasonal cuisine are accompanied by wine tastings, themed dinners, winemaker visits, and film screenings.

Rascal’s unique character is emphasized by its location at 6 Moliera Street – on the ground floor of the National Ballet School designed in the early 1950s by architect Bohdan Pniewski – one of the leading figures of Polish modernism. The bar doesn’t have a traditional sign – you can find it by looking for a red neon sign with Rascal’s face.

Bar Rascal was created by architect Dominika Buck and film producer Radek Drabik – a pair of natural wine enthusiasts and founders of NATURAL RASCAL – a leading Polish importer and distributor of natural wine.

The wines from the bar’s selection are also available at the NATURAL RASCAL bottle shop at Hoża 61/Plater Street in Warsaw, as well as online at NATURALRASCAL.COM.

*rascal’s rebellious spirit – corresponding well with the character of natural wine – is reflected in the bar’s distinctive logo created by Polish artist Luka Rayski.
